We have added a fifth fulltime team member to the CSC Leon family. Ms. Prisha Malone joined us last week as our Program & Quality Assurance Specialist (PQA Specialist).
Originally from Iowa, Prisha moved to Florida in 1986 where she began her career as an Early Childhood Educator in Gainesville. After seven years, Prisha transitioned into a technical assistance and training role for “Child Care Resources” working to improve the quality of child care for a five county area. In 2006, Prisha moved to Tallahassee to be part of the Child Care Workforce Study research team at the Children’s Forum. In 2012, Prisha joined Florida’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) administrative team as a program specialist, lead program specialist and eventually the program support lead. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
“I am excited for the opportunities that this position will bring as it allows me to go back to my roots providing technical assistance and hands-on support to improve the quality of services available in Leon county,” shared Prisha. “I also look forward to being part of the CSC Leon mission to improve the lives and outcomes of the children and families in our community.”
As the PQA Specialist, Prisha will be responsible for overseeing assigned contracts for various programs to ensure high-quality service provision and to help foster a strong partnership between CSC Leon and its Community Investment Partners. As such, she will be in the field a lot providing support and training directly to providers. Prisha will also work with the administrative team in assessing contract reneweal eligibility based on her field observations and reports.
