Meet Cecka Rose Green

Executive Diretor

Cecka Rose Green, CPM, was appointed as the Executive Director for the Children’s Services Council of Leon County (CSC Leon) on December 16, 2021. Prior to accepting this position, she served as Regional Executive Director for Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), Big Bend Region—Tallahassee Area, overseeing five programs and managing an average budget of $7.5 million. 

Before entering executive management, Cecka had a storied communications career holding positions on local, statewide and national stages. Past positions include serving as Director of Communications at LeadingAge Florida, Florida Housing Finance Corporation and Voices for Florida’s Children; Vice-President/Director of Communications for P&P Communications, Inc.; and Deputy Communications Director for the Florida Department of Children and Families. She has been quoted in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Miami Herald, as well as the Tallahassee Democrat and by The Associated Press.

Cecka has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being selected as HBCU Digest’s 2015 Alumna of the Year and was awarded the Carrie P. Meek Servant-Leader award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Florida and the Bahamas. More recently, Cecka was selected as one of “25 Women You Need to Know” in 2020 and is an enshrinee for the FAMU College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (CSSAH) Gallery of Distinction.

A native of Tallahassee, Cecka graduated from FAMU Developmental Research School, then matriculated to FAMU, majoring in English. She is married to Marvin Green, Jr. Together, they have three children: two adult daughters and one son.
