CSC Leon is excited to formally welcome two new team members: Takera Jackson, who joined us in May as our Administrative Services Coordinator, and Dr. Jenay Sermon, who joined us late last month as a contracted Research Project Analyst. Each brings valuable experience, a passion for service and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and families in Leon County.
Meet Takera Jackson
A Tallahassee native, Takera brings nearly five years of experience in customer relations, administrative operations and strategic support. Since joining CSC Leon, she has helped keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly while supporting the team’s work across the organization.
Takera is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Florida A&M University, where she continues to develop her passion for advocacy, community development and supporting children and families. Her experience in operations, data management and community support has strengthened her commitment to connecting individuals and families with valuable resources.
Takera is also a licensed Florida REALTOR® with a particular interest in financial empowerment, homeownership education and helping families build a foundation for generational success. Outside of work, she enjoys personal development, spending time with loved ones and finding new ways to learn, grow and serve others.
Takera has already become a valued member of the CSC Leon team, and although this official welcome may be a little overdue, our excitement about having her here certainly is not!
Meet Dr. Jenay Sermon
Dr. Jenay Sermon brings two decades of experience spanning the education, nonprofit, government and workforce sectors. Her expertise includes behavioral science, qualitative action research, program evaluation and instructional systems.
Jenay holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology and Learning Systems from Florida State University. Her early research experience at Spelman College and Emory University helped establish the intentional, people-centered approach that continues to guide her work today.
Throughout her career, Jenay has supported mission-driven organizations across Florida and nationally in designing programs, measuring outcomes and translating evidence into practical strategies. As CSC Leon’s Research Project Analyst, she applies rigorous research methods and thoughtful analysis to help identify what is working, strengthen our investments and elevate the successes of the programs and community partners we are proud to fund.
Jenay’s ability to connect data, strategy and real-world experiences will be especially valuable as CSC Leon continues working toward measurable improvements for Leon County’s children and families.
