Byron Wade

Byron Wade serves as the Circuit Community Development Administrator for Circuit 2 with the Florida Department of Children and Families, where he strengthens partnerships among agencies, service providers, and community organizations working to improve outcomes for children and families.

Since joining DCF in 2007, Wade has held several child welfare and leadership roles, including Child Protective Investigator, supervisor, and Quality Review Specialist. He also serves on several regional boards and community partnerships focused on early learning, workforce development, juvenile justice, maternal and child health, and family support.

A Tampa native and Florida State University graduate with a degree in social work, Wade brings to the Council more than 18 years of public service experience and a strong commitment to collaboration, community engagement, and strengthening services for children and families.
