CSC Leon has officially released a request for proposals for Year-Round Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs in Leon County. Click here to learn more.
CSC Leon is once again raising the bar on the types of programs it intends to fund next summer and into the 2025-2026 school year. Driven by its desire to make meaningful impacts in the lives of children and youth, CSC Leon is seeking to identify and fund qualified vendors to expand the availability of high-quality, year-round out-of-school time (OST) programs for children and youth, K-8, in Leon County. This is a departure from its recent practice of funding summer only programs; however, a small percentage of funds will remain available for those programs. Specifically, CSC Leon is seeking proposals to foster positive youth development, support academic achievement, and reduce juvenile crime by offering enriching environments for children and youth in year round out-of-school time settings. Vendors must meet specific programmatic standards including minimum duration and dosage, staff-youth ratios, training requirements, and unique enrichment components tailored to specific age groups, as well as demonstrate organizational capacity to manage the investment.
Interested vendors are invited to join us for an in-person informational session on either Friday, November 8, at 10:00 a.m., or Wednesday, November 13, at 3:00 p.m., to learn more about this opportunity. REGISTER HERE
The deadline for submissions to RFP 2025-01 is Friday, January 17, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Vendors must submit proposals using the online portal available on the funding announcement page, starting November 8. The CSC Leon Governing Council expects to select vendors in early March 2025, for 12-month contracts beginning June 1, 2025, with an optional start up month in May. Any entity selected for funding will be required to participate in pre-funding events and training.
We strongly recommend reading the RFP in its entirety and taking advantage of the technical assistance opportunities available before starting a proposal.
