The Children’s Services Council of Leon County is pleased to welcome Reese Barnes to our team as our Communications Intern.
Reese is a third-year student at Florida State University, majoring in Media Communications Studies. Her academic and professional path reflects both creativity and adaptability. After earning her certification in Architectural Drafting from Atlantic Technical College, Reese transitioned into the field of content creation and mass communications, bringing with her a strong eye for detail, structure, and storytelling.
At Florida State, Reese is an active member of the WVFS news department, where she presents current events to radio listeners, covering stories at both the local and international levels. In addition, she writes for her personal blog, where she shares media reviews and creative articles—further showcasing her passion for thoughtful, engaging communication.
During her internship, Reese will play a key role in publishing CSC Leon’s monthly newsletter, ensuring our community stays informed about investments, initiatives, and impact. She will also assist with public relations efforts and craft compelling narratives that highlight the work of our funded partners across Leon County. Her work will help translate data and program outcomes into meaningful stories that demonstrate how our investments support children, youth, and families.
We are excited to have Reese join our team and look forward to the energy, professionalism, and fresh perspective she brings to our communications efforts. Please join us in welcoming Reese to CSC Leon.
