Seeking ‘Family Supports’ Volunteers

CSC Leon Seeking Volunteers (Logo of Growing Family Tree)

CSC Leon seeks to engage community volunteers to serve as members of various Evaluations Teams to help review proposals for funding from our upcoming application opportunities. When the Council releases Community Investment Partnership (CIP – community providers) funding announcements, the services of these diverse and experienced panel members that represent a wide variety of professions, experience, knowledge, and expertise will help to ensure a fair and competent evaluation and scoring process.

As a Community Evaluator, you will be expected to do the following:

  • Independently review and score up to 20 proposals each;
  • Participate in applicant presentations; and
  • Discuss your scores during a public meeting.

Additionally, as a Community Evaluator, you must disclose any financial or substantive relationships with potential applicants (i.e., child/youth/family-serving organizations operating in Florida). Such disclosures are important to ensure Evaluators are not assigned applications that could result in an actual or perceived conflict of interest.

We are currently seeking volunteers for three open procurements.

  • Family Strengthening & Parent Education Programs (Research-based and Grassroots teams)
  • Youth Mentoring
  • Family Resource Center Management (Evaluation and Negotiation teams)
